2020: A Very Positive Year 

In the middle of a pandemic year, the Port of Figueira da Foz surpassed the 2 Million ton mark, growing 5% compared to 2019, a performance that, in the current context, allows it to face the future with optimism.

In 2020, 472 ships called at this port, representing 3% more compared to 2019, highlighting the average size of ships, which reached the second best mark ever, with a growth of 2%, compared to 2019, settling at 100 meters of average length of ships.

The resilience of the industry that the port serves has been remarkable, translated into a 15% increase in imports, compared to 2019, the result of the dynamics of the entire Figueira da Foz port community, namely its cargo owners, port operators and shipping agents, not forgetting all its workers. 

2020 was also a milestone for the Port of Figueira da Foz, for being the first port on the continent to fully start up with the Logistics Single Window in March, in the middle of the pandemic crisis.
