Energy transition

The fight against climate change and environmental degradation is one of the most important challenges facing humanity in the 21st century and the involvement in the process of moving to a decarbonised economy based on renewable energy is everyone's task. To overcome these challenges, the European Union presented in December 2019 the European GreenDeal, a roadmap for the growth strategy that transforms Europe into a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy.

To this challenge, ports are also called upon to contribute to achieving greenhouse gas emission reduction targets of 55% by 2030, 75% by 2040 and 100% by 2050.
