The Port of Figueira da Foz handled, in the month of August, 196,051 tons, more 10.7% compared to the same period of the previous year. In the accumulated of the year there was an increase of 18.5%, in a total of 1,512,236 tons.
The Solid Bulk, impelled by the non-metallic minerals, was the type of cargo most handled, with a total of 111,040 tonnes, which translates into a growth of 46.5%, compared with the same month of the previous year.
Exports registered a good performance once again, with a growth of 8.5%.
In August, 41 ships called at the Port of Figueira da Foz (+20.6%), with an increase of 39.5% in GT, compared to the same period in 2021.
