The Port of Figueira da Foz maintained its growth trajectory, having handled up to September 1,686,422 tonnes, which represents an increase of 16.9% compared with the same period of the previous year.
The solid bulks were the type of cargo that stood out the most, with an increase of 39.1%, a total of 833,251 tons handled, compared with the same period of the previous year. The exports registered a good performance, increasing 17.3%, during the period in analysis.
Regarding the containerized cargo there was a growth of 2.3%, with a total of 16,156 TEU moved.
The goods that stood out the most, during the period under review, were glass products, wood by-products and non-metallic minerals, all with a 2-digit growth.
Until September 361 ships called at the Port of Figueira da Foz, more 14.6%, compared with the same period of the previous year, registering a growth of 14.5% in GT.
