The Contract for the "Dredging of Bottom Maintenance of the Figueira da Foz Port" was signed this morning, in the Headquarters Building of the Figueira da Foz Port.
This contract, which provides the dredging of 1,450,000 m3 of sediments and the respective immersion in front of Cova-Gala beach, was awarded to the company Rohde Nielsen A/S for the sum of €4,495,000.00 + VAT.
The sites to be dredged are the bar, navigation channel and manoeuvring basin of the commercial sector of the Port of Figueira da Foz.
The period of execution of the contract is 36 months.
The works will be carried out upon request by APFF, S.A., to the contractor for each intervention, with a minimum of 100,000m3/each. In normal situations, work should begin within a maximum of 21 days after notification and in situations of extreme urgency the maximum period will be 7 days.
