The Port of Figueira da Foz has launched an international public tender to carry out studies for the development and improvement of the Port's Atlantic Marina, which will include a feasibility study for the concession of the existing marina and its possible expansion, as well as the construction of a cruise ship reception area.
The completion of the studies will enable the Board of Directors of APFF, S.A. to decide on the viability of the projects being analysed as a strategy to strengthen the competitive position of the Port of Figueira da Foz in the recreational boating and coastal cruise business.
The studies include benchmarking, characterisation of the market for cruise ships operating on the Atlantic coast, dimensioning of the new marina and assessment of its economic and financial viability.
The maximum duration of the study is 180 days and the basic value of the tender is €90,000.
