The Port of Figueira da Foz is participating in the European Ocean Days, an initiative promoted by the European Commission in Brussels that brings together institutional representatives, researchers and other stakeholders to discuss topics related to ocean governance, marine sustainability and the development of the blue economy. The event takes place from 2 to 6 March.
Within this framework, the final event of the European project A-AAGORA (Atlantic Arctic Agora) took place on 4 March, bringing together the consortium partners to present the main results achieved and reflect on the project's legacy, which is dedicated to strengthening the participation of coastal communities and different stakeholders in ocean governance. It should be noted that the Port of Figueira da Foz is a partnerin this project, which aims to develop methodologies for the co-development of nature-based solutions that can be implemented in coastal areas.
It is also worth highlighting that, during the European Ocean Days, the A-AAGORA project was present at the Mission Ocean and Waters Forum, contributing to the dissemination of the results achieved and to strengthening European cooperation around the challenges and opportunities of the blue economy.
