The Figueira da Foz Port Day celebrations will take place from 25 to 30 October, marking the 60th anniversary of the inauguration of the breakwaters in 1966.
A landmark achievement in the port’s history, the breakwaters helped stabilise the Mondego river mouth and improve maritime access, laying the foundations for the development of port activities and strengthening the region’s connection to the sea.
